freedom ride

Held in September each year, the run goes from Warinanco Park in Roselle, NJ,  to the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel. I have ridden in this run for the past 8 years or so, but because of the recent knee operation could not ride this year. So I went and took some pictures.

You can expect upwards of 1000 bikes or more. Here they queue up to pay the registration fee.

I ran into a friend, Gerri, who was taking her inaugural putt in the Freedom Ride on her own bike.

A potential future participant.

A couple strolling by.

A Union County officer astride a 3 wheeled chariot.

One of the many clubs in attendance.
